HITs running out at breakneck speed

Today is not a turking day either. HITs are running out so fast I doubt if I could grab any of them without the help of the script. But even with its help, I’ve only been able to grab 40 IA HITs so far but at least all HITs got cleared immediately.

HIT status summary – 802 submitted and USD18.04 earned so far. Not that bad after all, given that I’ve only spent a few hours doing it while surfing other blogs at the same time.

Well, let’s see how things go for the rest of the night…

Turking has been horrible since the 26th of November for me. The scripts are a great feature but I think we are killing ourselves with em

    Same thing, Mr. Lurker.

I found the auto-accept script for music HITs (seperate from my Quicker Image Adjustment, which I stubbornly stick to instead of the Opera script) very helpful – well, at least it is so far, instantly grabbing one for me where before I’d have to have clicked a number of times. Need to find one that grabs suggestions off of CDDB, though…

    Yeah… haven’t seen a single IA HITs ever since…

    *sigh*

Long time since you posted here, but I’ll give this a shot. I’m all for outsourcing and crowdtasking. I’m also a big supporter of smart systems that reward workers and make people feel like their work is fairly rewarded and stable. This has been a big problem for Mechanical Turk, and I’ve documented some of the issues at Broken Turk blog (http://brokenturk.blogspot.com). Check it out and see what Amazon hasn’t quite gotten right about their crowdsourcing platform.
